+358 44 288 4824As Director, Bioeconomy, Kaisu is leading the Bioeconomy and circular economy team, project portfolio, and customer base at Spinverse. She supports our customers in planning and leading their R&D&I activities and portfolios, ranging from lab-scale research to piloting, demonstration, industrial first-of-a-kind investments, as well as collaborative innovation programmes and ecosystems.
Kaisu has wide experience from leading complex R&D initiatives and shaping emerging ideas into successful concepts and partnerships. Her expertise covers end-to-end understanding of bio-based value chains, key technologies, products, partnerships, and financing. She is also an experienced facilitator of public-private-partnership activities.
Kaisu holds a M.Sc. degree in chemistry from University of Helsinki and has also studied Organizations and Management at Aalto University School of Economics. Kaisu is also a Certified Board Member (HHJ). From her previous work as a researcher at the Finnish Forest Research Institute, she has hands-on experience in the research and development of new biorefinery processes and bio-based products.
In her spare time, Kaisu enjoys social dancing (especially Afro-Latin dances), hiking, mountains, as well as good food and wine.
