Instructions
Here you should outline how the project will be set out. The exact work plan is given in Chapter 3, so there is no need to repeat that information here. Instead, explain the overall methodology you use and how that is the best way forward. Distinguishing what activity you will be focusing on in this project and refer to the proposal to show that they are relevant to be funded under this instrument. These can be e.g. research, demonstration, piloting, first market replication, etc.
Here you should also address the gender dimension related to your project in so far as it is appropriate in the research and innovation content. This refers to socio-economic sex/gender analysis, as well as physiological. For example: Does your project or service need to be different for different genders? (Think of e.g. medicines the affect genders differently). Is your end user demographic balanced? Can your product or service improve gender equality somehow?
This question does not refer to gender balance in the teams in charge of carrying out the project. It refers to the content of the planned research and innovation activities.
For guidance on methods of sex / gender analysis and the issues to be taken into account, please refer to e.g. the checklists at http://ec.europa.eu/research/swafs/gendered-innovations/index_en.cfm?pg=home
Example
The WIDGET project is based on the challenge identified by the industry partners utilising the IoT sensors currently available. The WIDGET project will follow an action research approach that helps to solve current practical problems while expanding scientific knowledge [Abcde, 2009]. It combines theory and practice through change and reflection in a real-life situation. WIDGET project will use an iterative three-phase research process [Bcedf, 1999] that involves the development and research organizations and the use case companies acting together on a particular cycle of activities.
In the problem diagnosis phase, WIDGET will analyse the current situation of IoT installations…

Sex and Gender aspects
Diversity of thought is crucial for a research community, and we aim to improve diversity and participation of all genders in our research community to counterbalance the current over-representation of men that persists within the IT security communities, both in academia and in the industrial working environments. In the events organised in the WIDGET project we will promote gender equality and diversity among the speakers and the attendees. While IoT solutions themselves are gender neutral in their installation and operation…
