Creating European powerhouse of artificial intelligence

The goal of the European multi-disciplinary ELISE project proposal, recently funded with 12 M€ by the European Commission, is to bring European machine learning (ML) to the core of modern artificial intelligence (AI) research. The project will build upon the open and excellence-driven ELLIS research network of top-level and diverse AI institutes that aim to drive adoption of outstanding machine learning in European companies. Spinverse facilitated the preparation of the funding proposal and will lead the communication activities with European industries at large during the project.
Key challenges
Major Artificial Intelligence hubs are currently in the US and in China and there are no equivalent research networks in Europe to compete with them. It is also extremely hard to attract top-notch researchers for European AI research.
How we reached the goals
Spinverse took care of the quality assurance, partner communication and advisory during the prepration of the project proposal. Spinverse also acted as the communication partner for engaging with European industries, driving adoption of scientific advancements and related innovations in AI, and enlarging industry-academia collaboration.
Key takeaways
The ELISE project demonstrates Spinverse’s role as the trusted partner in forming consortiums, planning and managing strategic research and innovation projects, and helping to scale up businesses and ecosystems. We are proud to work with the leading research universities and most innovative companies in Europe.
