Magnus Andersson

Magnus works at Spinverse as a Principal Consultant in the Sustainable Industries business unit. Magnus is the co-founder of a Swedish company IMCG International AB (est. 2008), which joined forces with Spinverse in autumn 2022.

His main focus is impact and sustainable transition.

Magnus has in the past quarter of a century worked as manager, coordinator and business development leader for 50+ large international and national innovation projects, mainly within in the areas of sustainable industries, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart cities, including the design and development of several large Innovation Fund and European Lighthouse projects financed across Horizon Europe. Magnus has strong expertise in market adoption, innovation management, deployment and project management.

Magnus holds a position as an expert for the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation with focus on energy, storage and smart cities in Horizon Europe, as well as a position in Swedish Government's strategic working group "Industries Climate Transition". Magnus also chairs an European Commission task force together with EIB, Germany, France etc. to adapt and evolve financial instruments for the European cities with an aim to commence the energy transition to a carbon-free and affordable energy system. Magnus has been nominated and awarded the most successful project award in Framework Programmes FP5 and FP6 by the European Commission.
