Jayden Khakurel

ayden Khakurel is the Director for Digital Health & Data at Spinverse, where he supports clients in addressing complex challenges through the co-creation of innovative, technology-driven solutions. He has extensive expertise across digital systems, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and data spaces that enable secure and interoperable data exchange in healthcare and beyond.

Before joining Spinverse, Jayden worked as a Senior Researcher at the University of Turku, Finland, contributing to several EU-funded research projects in collaboration with leading institutes across Europe. His work spanned multiple domains, including digital payments, mobility, education and healthcare.

Jayden also brings over eight years of start-up experience, having worked with a variety of emerging technologies and applications such as mobile payments, Near Field Communication (NFC), contactless technologies, and navigation solutions for public transportation. In addition, he has over five years of experience in academic and research environments, focusing on research and project management in areas such as quantified-self technologies, e-learning, digital health, conversational AI, user experience (UX) and technology adoption.

He holds a Doctor of Science in Technology (Computer Science) and a Master of Science in Technology (Computer Software Engineering) from LUT University, Finland, as well as an MBA in International Business Management from South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.

Outside of work, Jayden enjoys running and cooking, and values continuous growth — cultivating both convergent and divergent thinking to strengthen creativity and confidence.
