Spinverse partnering to build a new Finnish battery ecosystem

18 Oct 2018

Spinverse will conduct a study on the current situation and actors of the battery industry in Finland together with Gaia Consulting. The work is done for Business Finland, and the report supports Business Finland’s Batteries from Finland activation work for building a national battery ecosystem.

The study covers the whole value chain of the battery industry ecosystem:  Materials, Cells and modules, Applications and Recycling. We will identify and assess the offering and needs of the existing actors in this field, and define the opportunities and prerequisites for new value creation and platforms.

“We will interview a number of companies but also encourage interested parties to contact us directly. The goal is that the battery ecosystem will work efficiently and productively,” says Timo Ropponen from Spinverse.

The study reviews the current actors and their roles in the battery ecosystem. It will also examine the ongoing battery industry ecosystem and cluster projects, taking into account and utilising already existing information and previous studies.

We will map major battery industry actors and actions in the Nordic countries and Europe as a whole and examine what would be the most potential cooperation networks for the Finnish companies.
