The representatives of 15 european partners of project INNPAPER will gather in Otaniemi, Espoo for the projects consortium meeting – hosted by Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland
From Aalto the program will be led by Prof. Orlando Rojas & Dr. Maryam Borghei, in Biobased Colloids and Materials group (BicMat) from the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems (Bio2).
As organizers from VTT we’ll have Dr. Tekla Tammelin & Dr. Alexey Khakalo from the High performance fiber products research team
INNPAPER is a pioneering project in the printed electronics field, that is designing a configurable and recyclable electronic platform based on paper. The project aims to foster the industrial application of paper-based electronics, contributing to reduce the e-waste.
Spinverse is responsible of the projects communication, dissemination and exploitation work package, and in the end of the 3.5 year project Spinverse will produce a business plan for the industrial line manufacturing of these smart paper-based electronic devices.
INNPAPER will design a paper-based electronic platform comprising a printed battery, an electrochromic display (ECD) and a NFC system. This solution, manufactured in a multi-site pilot-line, yields a high versatility: by integrating different sensors and specific components into it, the INNPAPER technology will enable the future production of a wide range of industrial applications. To demonstrate its potential, INNPAPER will develop three use-cases:
