Ville Maijala

Ville Maijala is working as a Senior Consultant at Spinverse in the Industrial Investments team with focus on EU funding programmes and providing clients with debt and other financial advisory.

After graduation Ville worked as a Specialist in the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Trade Promotion unit and worked closely with Finnpro, foreign embassies, other ministries, planning trade promotion campaigns and hosting numerous international business delegations. Ville has made a 15+ year career in large corporate banking where he has gained an in-depth product knowledge of various financial instruments, leading international team of banking professionals and providing corporates with bi-lateral loans and participated numerous syndicated loan transactions. Ville started in banking in 2005 through Sampo Bank’s management trainee programme while simultaneously working as Relationship Manager in the Large Corporates and Institutions unit. In 2007 Danske Bank acquired Sampo Bank and Ville continued with the new employer for further 5 years working with large corporates. In 2011 he joined Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken where he worked for 10 years as a Senior Client Executive, financing large corporates and private equity type of family offices. He has financed several M&A and IPO related deals while also having been involved with many Capital Market transactions.

Ville has an extensive network of domestic and international banks, other financial organisations and C-level decision makers in Finnish large corporates. He is very familiar with banks' credit processes, loan documentation, balance sheet optimization and all financial instruments.

In his free time, Ville he enjoys boating in the Finnish archipelago, jogging and downhill skiing.
