Pentti Launonen

Pentti is working as Ecosystem Leader and a Senior Project Manager for Spinverse’s clients’ research and innovation projects. He is specialised in orchestrating and facilitating large innovation ecosystems and digital platforms.

Pentti has vast experience on business development and research as well as innovation management from both public and private organisations and their collaboration in public-private-partnerships. Prior to joining Spinverse in 2019, Pentti completed his doctoral research at Aalto University where he acquired and coordinated national and European research and innovation projects over their full lifecycle. The projects included EU FP7 Coordination and Support Action CONCORD for Future Internet Public-Private Partnership (FI-PPP) of more than two hundred partners and one thousand SMEs, a RYM SHOK programme Energising Urban Ecosystems, and EU FP7 programme Apollon (Advanced Pilots of Living Labs Operating in Networks), among others.

Pentti has also co-founded and run his own management consulting firm Warustamo, led cellular transmission sales and marketing at Nokia Networks in Latin America, and worked in several business development positions at Forum Virium Helsinki, Nokia Mobile Phones, Nokia Networks, and McKinsey & Company during two decades.

In his spare time, he spends time with his family and enjoys various endurance and outdoor sports, from cross country skiing to ultra trail running and sailing.
