Mikael Sundholm

Mikael is a Project Manager at Spinverse for leading-edge embedded device technologies. He has broad experience in microelectronics, sensors and applied electronics for mobile and embedded devices used in telecom and IoT end-to-end solutions.

Mikael is a highly motivated professional who loves developing and exploring new solutions and working with partners.  He has broad experience in industrial IoT solutions and technology development projects involving both some of the largest IC manufacturers in the world as well as SMEs.

Before Spinverse, Mikael worked at Telia, mostly with Division X, responsible for developing IoT solutions and LPWAN connectivity for all Scandinavian countries. He organised early-access for large and SME companies to NB-IOT LPWAN connectivity in Finland before launching Telia Finland network in March 2018. Together with partners and customers Mikael has done business development, service creation and solution development of several industrial IoT solutions for monitoring material moisture, liquid levels in tanks and sewers, workstation cranes and mailboxes.

At Nokia, Mikael participated in various technology management projects, developing SoC systems for next-generation Linux smartphones, initiating Li-ion battery solution projects, analysis of global supplier technology readiness for make/buy decisions and creating the first company semiconductor technology strategy.

Mikael has also worked for Tekes as a Science and Technology Attaché in Washington DC, USA, where he supported Finnish National Technology Programs and Finnish SMEs finding technology partners and scanning technology maturity. Mikael received his M.Sc. EE diploma from Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto University) in Espoo in 1987, majoring in Semiconductor Components and Applied Electronics.

In his spare time, Mikael enjoys the beautiful Finnish archipelago, downhill skiing in the Alps, boating and sailing, and classic cars. Mikael has always been interested in cooking and good food.
