Maria joined Spinverse in 2015 to work as an Analyst in the EU and Horizon 2020 related activities.
At Spinverse Maria’s work comprises of preparation of proposals for EU-funding, participation in the coordination of the projects and commercialisation activities such as conduction of market studies.
Maria holds an M.Sc. in materials engineering from Tampere University of Technology. She majored in materials and sustainable production and completed advanced studies in biomaterials and minors in industrial management and languages. Her thesis dealt with threats and possibilities of slag (by-product of steel production) use. Part of her studies Maria has completed in University of Sheffield in UK.
Before her position at Spinverse, Maria has worked in an environmental service industry and private industrial management consultancy. She is enthusiastic about new innovations especially regarding the new sustainable materials.
In her spare time Maria enjoys playing ultimate frisbee.
