Malin joined Spinverse in February 2021 and works as Project Manager in our Health Tech team. Malin has a broad expertise in human physiology and her specialties are lipids, lipidomics and mammalian lipid metabolism.

Before joining Spinverse, Malin worked within science and research at the University of Helsinki. During her university career, she gained insight in different roles within academia, for example as university lecturer, thesis co-supervisor and laboratory worker in EU-funded project. Malin has 10 years of experience in lecturing within the field of human and animal physiology for different kinds of audiences and is profoundly interested in clinical solutions within the health technology field.

Malin holds a PhD and M.Sc. (Physiology and Neuroscience) from University of Helsinki. In her Master’s Thesis, she studied the effects of metabolic suppression on mammalian neuronal membranes, and her Doctoral Dissertation was on chemical biomarkers in aquatic food webs.

In her leisure time, Malin enjoys swimming and running. Every autumn, she passionately picks mushrooms in the forest, accompanied by her Spanish waterdog Tinca von Snophsentophs. Nature brings peace to Malin’s mind and during summers especially, she spends time at the summer cottage.
