+358 50 412 6709Juho joined Spinverse in December 2022 and is working as a Project Manager in the Health Technologies team.
Juho has obtained B.Sc. in Biomedical Science at the University of Portsmouth (UK) as well as M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Pediatrics at the University of Turku, together in collaboration with National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). Currently he is studying Business Economics at the open University of Eastern Finland.
Prior to joining Spinverse, Juho worked as a research scientist at THL, followed by a move to London to work as a post-doctoral scientist at Imperial College London, Queen Mary University of London, and William Harvey Research Institute. During his academic career, he has gained a broad knowledge in respiratory science, immunology, and inflammation. He has been involved in planning and setting up an ongoing prospective cohort study (STEPS study) at University of Turku, to understand the precursors and causes of problems in child health and well-being by using a multidisciplinary approach.
In addition, Juho has been developing and setting up cutting-edge live imaging techniques to study immune cell behavior in their natural microenvironment. He has collaborated with several national and international academic institutions and researches, clinicians and pharmaceutical companies. Moreover, he is an author in more than 30 scientific papers in high-impact journals.
In his spare time, Juho enjoys long cycling trips, playing darts and travelling. He also likes to read and is trying to understand human psychology behind financial market movements and cycles.
