Juha is a Senior Consultant at Spinverse helping customers in their open innovation initiatives and driving their new business development.

Juha has strong track record on innovation management, open innovation and new business development. As a seasoned expert, his focus areas cover also feasibility studies, R&D project building, technology reports and other customer case studies. Juha is also enthusiastic about sparring fast growing SMEs, which he has done also pro-bono.

Juha has long and broad expertise in materials science as well as micro- and nanotechnology. Prior to becoming a part of team Spinverse, he has worked with multitude of projects from science to R&D&I involving for example instrument realization and development of novel nanomaterial based applications.

During his academic career at Aalto University, Juha was a leader of international research team managing several academic and industrial projects funded for example by EU, European Space Agency (ESA), Business Finland (Tekes), and Academy of Finland. In addition to project funding, he has been granted personal funding for the Postdoctoral Researcher position and, more notably, awarded the Academic Research Fellow grant. In 2011-2012, Juha worked in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.

In 2006 Juha received his degree as a Doctor of Science in Technology from Helsinki University of Technology (Department of Electrical and Communications Engineering) with a distinction. Juha has published over 50 international articles covering wide array of topics. He has also delivered several presentations in international forums.

In his spare time, Juha enjoys the marvellous wild nature of the very northern Lapland with his family. He also likes to play variety of different team sports.
